Multinational leadership in a matrix organization.
Understanding and adapting to cultural nuances can be challenging for many executives, especially when they see their primary goal as speed to market. While based in Europe I was the on boarding coach to a British Division President, who reported directly to a German executive and indirectly to an Italian executive, all of which was further complicated by expectations of the American parent company! Beginning with an assessment of this executive’s style, I was able to help him identify ways to get all parties to common ground while making progress toward his strategic priorities in his first 100 days.
